Tiered classrooms are equipped with student microphones for voice amplification and recording purposes.
If your class is being recorded students will need to use the microphones to have their voice appear clearly in the recording.

Student microphones are attached to the tiered desks at regular intervals.
The normal desktop student microphone status is off, indicated with no status light.

Press the flat white section of the nearest desk microphone to capture your discussion from student seating during recording, video conference or simply from across the room. The microphone is active when indicated with a green status light.

Access Advanced Volume controls by pressing the Settings button (1) at upper right of the touch screen panel.
When no student desk microphones are engaged, the Student Mics button (2) will show as muted. When a student engages a desk mic, the button will show as unmuted. To quickly mute all desk mics, tap the Student Mics button, changing it from black to red.
To engage the desk mic Mute Lock feature, press and hold the Student Mics button until it reads "Locked" directly above it. Desk mics cannot be engaged while in locked mode.
To unlock the desk mic mute feature, press and hold the button until it no longer reads "Locked."
Note, desk microphones cannot be unmuted from the touch panel.
When you End Session, all mic settings revert to their defaults.
