Best Practices

  • Basic caption format option: SRT (SubRip) (no styling available. OK for Talking Heads)
  • Advanced caption format option: SCC (Scenarist Closed Caption), integrates well with 3Play and YouTube
  • Make sure the caption and transcript files are accurate and complete
  • Captions should include important sound effects
  • If more than one person is speaking, the caption and transcript files contains speaker identification.  This can include the speaker names or Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.
