Assignment 8: Geoprocessing and Mapping

 Use at least two spatial data sets of your choosing, preferably related to your project:

1. project them to a projected (non spherical) coordinate system.

2. Create at least two different maps, with no bounding box, and a title, and at least two layers, showing data attributes as choroplethic maps (polygons or points) with an appropriate colormap.

Incorporate into your processing and map creation

* a spatial join

* a buffer, and

* distance calculation

Submit your completed notebook via bcourses.

If you’re having any trouble with geopandas or matplotlib installs on your personal computer, you can complete this exercise on the lab PCs.
